Writing an application

It is difficult for some people to write an official application letter. They keep on thinking and thinking. Yes, it is also difficult for me to write an official application letter on any kind of leave. Let’s take an example of sick leave or medical leave. Tried a lot and finally, I came up with something. This might help you a little bit. If you are really not fond of writing any one when there is utmost importance of writing one. So, if you really don’t want to lose a job and you also don’t know how to start. Then, write they way I did. It may come handy. Remember, it should be short and to the point because bosses has no time to read such bullshits when they are angry not seeing you in the office at time and when they need you the most.

Format

Date: 15th January 2008

To: Managing Director
(Name of your office)
(Location of your office)


Subject: Sick leave for 4 days

Dear Sir/ Madam,

With due respect, I, (Your name), is requesting for leave of 4 days as I had a (reason of taking a leave) on 13th of January 2008 (Saturday) in (place where the incident happened) causing an injury on my right/left foot. I thought I would soon recover my health but till this date I couldn’t recover. I am taking my medication and slowly recovering as well.

I will try to attend office from 17th January 2008.
